Flavor Profile

The Illusione Oneoff Black Toro delivers the same complex, medium-bodied flavor profile as the Robusto but with a slower, cooler burn due to its larger vitola. It starts with an enticing blend of tangy citrus, sweet cream, caramel, and prominent black pepper notes. The smoke transitions into rich, savory elements of salted nuts, toasted rye, and charred wood, accented by baking spices. In the final stretch, the profile deepens with robust notes of espresso, earthy leather, and dark chocolate, offering a creamy, long-lasting finish.

Construction

Renowned for its superior construction, the Illusione Oneoff Black Toro is expertly rolled to present a refined finish. The cigar features a milk-chocolate hued wrapper with pockets of oil and a seamless triple cap. The draw starts with a touch of pleasant resistance and opens up beautifully, delivering plentiful, creamy smoke. The burn line is razor-sharp and self-correcting, holding a decent ash. This meticulous craftsmanship ensures a consistent, high-quality smoking experience.

Pairing Suggestion

When pairing the illusione Oneoff Black Toro, choose drinks that enhance its slightly extended, medium-bodied smoke rich in notes of dark cocoa, cinnamon, and espresso. A mature, high-quality rum or an Irish whiskey offers a smooth foundation that blends seamlessly with the cigar's warming spice. For a non-alcoholic beverage, a dark roast coffee or black tea highlights the herbal complexity. This blend also pairs elegantly with roasted cashews or light chocolate tarts.
