Flavor Profile

The Illusione Oneoff Black Robusto is a nuanced, medium-bodied cigar that masterfully transitions between sweet and savory. The experience begins with an aromatic tang, opening up to caramel, sweet cream, citrus, and a bold burst of black pepper on the retrohale. The profile soon introduces savory layers of roasted peanuts, salted butter, toasted bread, and charred meat. The final third shifts beautifully toward dark coffee, leather, and high-quality chocolate, maintaining a buttery smooth character throughout.

Construction

Renowned for its superior construction, the Illusione Oneoff Black Robusto is expertly rolled to present a refined finish. The cigar features a milk-chocolate hued wrapper with pockets of oil and a seamless triple cap. The draw starts with a touch of pleasant resistance and opens up beautifully, delivering plentiful, creamy smoke. The burn line is razor-sharp and self-correcting, holding a decent ash. This meticulous craftsmanship ensures a consistent, high-quality smoking experience.

Pairing Suggestion

When pairing the illusione Oneoff Black Robusto, select beverages that highlight its unique, medium-bodied profile featuring espresso, cocoa, cinnamon, and warm baking spices. A smooth Speyside Scotch or a rich, aged tawny port will elevate the blend's inherent sweet and spicy notes. For a non-alcoholic option, a classic cappuccino or an herbal chai latte matches the cinnamon tones beautifully. Mildly sweet desserts or almond-based pastries also pair wonderfully.
