Flavor Profile

The Joya De Nicaragua Antano Gran Reserva GT20 offers a highly sophisticated, full-bodied smoke thanks to its five-year-aged fillers. The pre-light aroma hints at sweet raisins and cinnamon. Upon lighting, it delivers a rich and chewy smoke brimming with notes of dark chocolate, earth, and deep baking spices. The second half reveals mature flavors of Cuban espresso and leather, balanced beautifully by a persistent natural sweetness and subtle floral undertones. The finish is long and powerful, yet incredibly smooth on the palate.

Construction

Renowned for its superior construction, the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva GT20 is expertly rolled using extra-aged, dark Nicaraguan wrapper leaves. The roll is dense and sturdy, displaying no soft spots. The draw provides a classic Cuban-esque resistance with huge smoke output, while the burn line is sharp and clean, creating a very dense, white ash pillar.

Pairing Suggestion

When it comes to pairing the Joya De Nicaragua Antano Gran Reserva GT20, select beverages that can match the full-bodied, heavily aged Nicaraguan powerhouse profile. A barrel-proof straight bourbon or a bold dark rum will mesh with its rich oak, leather, and black pepper notes excellently. For a non-alcoholic companion, a strong, rich espresso or a spiced dark hot chocolate can provide a robust counterweight to the intense strength. This celebratory bold smoke is best enjoyed after a heavy prime rib or steak dinner.
