Flavor Profile

The Leaf Sumatra Toro is a medium-to-full-bodied cigar with a savory and spicy flavor profile. The Sumatra wrapper is dominant, providing notes of cedar, dried fruit, and a pleasant, sharp spice. Notes of leather and earth are present, making it a complex and highly flavorful smoke.

Construction

The Leaf by Oscar line is handmade in Honduras and is unique for being wrapped in an outer tobacco leaf instead of cellophane. The underlying cigars boast fantastic construction with an excellent draw, though the visible burn line may sometimes be wavy due to the natural wrapper choice.

Pairing Suggestion

This Lancero (dried fig, sour apple, spicy cedar, graham cracker, tangy, apple cider finish) is a complex, medium-bodied smoke. A crisp, sweet Apple Cider (hard or soft) or a smooth, spicy Rye Whiskey will complement the tangy and apple notes. A slightly sweet Oolong Tea or an earthy, nutty Sauternes Dessert Wine will also match its unique flavor profile.
