Flavor Profile

The Leaf Corojo Robusto is a medium-to-full-bodied cigar with a spicy and complex flavor profile. The Corojo wrapper is dominant, providing notes of red pepper, cedar, and earth. An underlying natural sweetness and toasted nuts balance the spice, making it a robust and highly flavorful smoke.

Construction

The Leaf by Oscar line is handmade in Honduras and is unique for being wrapped in an outer tobacco leaf instead of cellophane. The underlying cigars boast fantastic construction with an excellent draw, though the visible burn line may sometimes be wavy due to the natural wrapper choice.

Pairing Suggestion

This medium-full Corojo (earth, cocoa, cedar, red pepper, a hint of sweetness) is a dynamic smoke. A smooth, sweet Bourbon (e.g., Maker's Mark) or a spicy Anejo Tequila is an excellent match. A rich Mocha or a full-bodied Amber Ale will complement the cocoa and balance the touch of red pepper spice.
