Joya De Nicaragua Antano Gran Reserva Belicoso

Summary

The Gran Reserva Belicoso is an elevated take on the original Antaño, featuring Nicaraguan fillers aged for five years. The tapered Belicoso head concentrates the smoke, delivering a refined and sophisticated profile. While it maintains the line's famous full-bodied strength, the extra aging adds a velvety smoothness and enhances notes of cedar, leather, and creamy coffee. It is a premium Nicaraguan puro designed for aficionados who seek the perfect balance of raw power and elegant maturity.

Flavor Profile

The Antaño Gran Reserva Belicoso is a full-bodied cigar where the Antaño blend has been aged for 2-3 years longer than the original, adding sophistication. The Belicoso focuses the bold flavors of earth, wood, and pepper. The aging contributes a creamy smoothness and sweeter, more rounded notes of cocoa, leather, and roasted nuts, balancing power and refinement.

Construction

This line is a blend extension featuring aged Nicaraguan tobaccos, using a selection of leaves aged in white oak barrels. The construction is premium and consistent, focusing on a superb draw and an even burn to deliver subtle, charming woody notes and a complex, velvety finish.

Pairing Suggestion

The Antaño Gran Reserva indicates a smoother, more aged version of the full-bodied Antaño, with notes of earth, leather, and spice. The Belicoso is best paired with an equally refined spirit like an aged Single Malt Scotch or a premium Tequila Añejo to complement its aged complexity and focused flavor.
