Joya De Nicaragua Antano CT Belicoso

Summary

The Antaño CT series is a unique fusion, blending the powerful Antaño fillers with a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. The Belicoso vitola offers a medium-to-full-bodied experience that is deceptively smooth at the start. Notes of cream and cedar from the wrapper are quickly joined by the spicy and robust Nicaraguan core. The tapered head concentrates the smoke, providing a sophisticated balance of refinement and strength. It is an ideal cigar for those who want the Antaño complexity with a silkier delivery.

Flavor Profile

The Antaño CT Belicoso is a medium-to-full-bodied cigar that paradoxically pairs the strength of Antaño with the smoothness of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. It delivers pungent creaminess and intense spicy notes. Core flavors include sweet cedar, almond cream, and light caramel, balanced by an undercurrent of white pepper, black pepper, and cinnamon spice.

Construction

This cigar features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan 'Puro' blend. While sharing the Antaño name, this milder Connecticut version is noted for its good construction, aiming for the same consistent draw and even burn found in the core line, offering a smooth and approachable smoking experience.

Pairing Suggestion

The Antaño CT starts creamy but develops Joya's signature strength with notes of creamy cedar, toasted nuts, honey, and black pepper. It is a morning-to-evening cigar that pairs well with a morning cappuccino, a crisp Chardonnay, or a smooth, wheated Bourbon like Weller to balance its creaminess and spice.
