Flavor Profile

The Antaño 1970 Churchill is a full-bodied and sophisticated smoke that offers a rich and intense journey. It immediately presents bold layers of dark chocolate, espresso, and roasted coffee, accented by black pepper and aged leather. The flavors evolve to include toasted almonds and subtle baking spices, with a long, robust finish that balances power and complexity.

Construction

The Antaño 1970 line is meticulously hand-rolled entirely of Nicaraguan 'Puro' tobaccos, reflecting a robust, full-bodied heritage. The construction is noted for being perfect, ensuring a regular draw and a consistent, even burn. The cigars possess a firm feel, often with prominent veins on the dark wrapper, producing thick, rich smoke with complex aromas.

Pairing Suggestion

The Joya Antaño 1970 Churchill is a powerful and sophisticated, medium-full Nicaraguan cigar with a complex profile of bold chocolate, espresso, and black pepper. It pairs excellently with a single malt Scotch whisky, particularly a Highland or Speyside expression, as the whisky's complexity beautifully complements the cigar's deep, dark flavors.
