Flavor Profile

The Antaño 1970 Belicoso is a full-bodied Nicaraguan puro, focusing the intense blend's power into a tapered shape. The smoke delivers a strong core of earth, leather, and black pepper. Notes of dark roasted coffee, dark cocoa, and a hint of toasted almond are present, all culminating in a robust, classic, and complex smoking experience.

Construction

The Antaño 1970 line is meticulously hand-rolled entirely of Nicaraguan 'Puro' tobaccos, reflecting a robust, full-bodied heritage. The construction is noted for being perfect, ensuring a regular draw and a consistent, even burn. The cigars possess a firm feel, often with prominent veins on the dark wrapper, producing thick, rich smoke with complex aromas.

Pairing Suggestion

The Joya Antaño 1970 is a full-bodied, high-strength Nicaraguan puro with notes of earth, leather, and cedar. The Belicoso shape concentrates the flavor and spice. It pairs best with a bold, smoky Islay Scotch or a complex, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon to stand up to its strength and spice.
