Joya De Nicaragua Antano Alisado 20 Cigars

Summary

Alisado often refers to the smooth, box-pressed nature of this specific Antaño series. These cigars maintain the signature Antaño 1970 strength but present it in an elegant box-pressed format. This process results in a more concentrated flavor profile and often a slightly different combustion rate. Smokers can expect the classic Nicaraguan puro experience with notes of pepper, earth, and wood. Packaged in boxes of 20, it is a reliable and highly-regarded choice for those who love the intensity of Estelí tobacco with a refined finish.

Flavor Profile

The Antaño 1970 blend is a full-bodied, robust smoke. The flavor is intense, with powerful notes of pepper, leather, and espresso. These dominant flavors mingle with sweet intonations of cocoa and hazelnut, balanced by toasted almond and a thick, oily earthiness, resulting in a complex and unapologetically strong Nicaraguan cigar.

Construction

The Antaño 1970 line is meticulously hand-rolled entirely of Nicaraguan 'Puro' tobaccos, reflecting a robust, full-bodied heritage. The construction is noted for being perfect, ensuring a regular draw and a consistent, even burn. The cigars possess a firm feel, often with prominent veins on the dark wrapper, producing thick, rich smoke with complex aromas.

Pairing Suggestion

The Antaño line is a full-bodied, robust Nicaraguan puro (earth, coffee, spice, dark chocolate). A strong, high-proof Rye Whiskey or a dark, molasses-rich Aged Rum is necessary to match its strength. A deep, bitter Espresso or a full-bodied, dark Imperial Stout will complement the intense earth and dark chocolate notes.
