Flavor Profile

The Opus X Oro Oscuro Perfecxion X offers a profoundly rich and robust experience. It features a specially fermented Dominican wrapper that imparts deep notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and roasted nuts. As the smoke progresses, layers of cedar, leather, and a signature Opus X spice emerge, balanced by a lingering sweetness of vanilla and caramel. The finish is long and velvety, showcasing the legendary complexity and strength that defines the Oro Oscuro line.

Construction

Encased in a dark, specially fermented Dominican Sun Grown wrapper, the Perfecxion X showcases impeccable construction. The cigar is expertly rolled with no soft spots, resulting in a firm structure and smooth aesthetics. The draw provides the perfect amount of resistance, and the burn is exceptionally even, producing a solid, enduring ash. This vitola exemplifies the high-level artistry of Fuente's torcedores, offering a consistently luxurious and premium smoking experience.

Pairing Suggestion

This rare Dominican puro offers a sophisticated blend of cedar, figs, and spices. To elevate the experience, pair it with a classic Gin Martini—its crisp, herbal density cuts through the cigar’s full body. Alternatively, a single malt Scotch or a dark chocolate-infused spirit can enhance the natural cocoa and leather notes. The complex, lingering finish makes it an excellent companion for a post-dinner session alongside aged cheeses or dried figs.
