Flavor Profile

The Ernest line is a tribute to the family heritage, featuring extremely rare Cameroon wrappers. The Corona Gorda vitola offers a sophisticated balance of ginger spice, cedar, and a unique balsamic sweetness. The smoke is medium-bodied and silky, with underlying notes of toasted bread and a long, refined finish that showcases the legendary wrapper's complexity.

Construction

This Corona Gorda features an incredibly rare Cameroon wrapper that defines the Meerapfel legacy. The construction is surgical in its precision, with a masterfully applied cap and a slender, elegant profile. The build is firm but yields a generous draw. It burns with a sharp line and leaves behind a distinctive, clean ash. The density is perfectly balanced, ensuring that the delicate Cameroon leaf is showcased without any structural issues or wrapper splitting.

Pairing Suggestion

The Ernest line is characterized by its rare Cameroon wrapper, offering complex spice, cedar, and a refined sweetness. A medium-bodied Cognac or a vintage Armagnac is a superb partner, enhancing the wrapper's elegance. For tea drinkers, a dark Earl Grey with its bergamot notes provides a lovely citrus lift to the cigar's spicy profile. Pair with dark chocolate-covered espresso beans for a delightful sensory experience. This Corona Gorda size is ideal for a focused, 45-minute journey of nuanced flavors.
