Flavor Profile

The Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label (Original) is a full-bodied Nicaraguan puro known for its signature spice. The profile is rich and savory, featuring dominant notes of dark pepper, leather, and roasted nuts. Subtle layers of cedar and coffee emerge, balanced by a faint sweetness reminiscent of black cherry. It offers a bold, eventful smoke with a lingering, zesty finish that is quintessentially Pepin.

Construction

A skillfully crafted, full-bodied Churchill (7" x 47 ring). This is an all-Nicaraguan Puro, utilizing a dark Nicaraguan Corojo Oscuro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers. Construction is impeccable, noted for an ideal, slightly firm draw that produces dense, aromatic smoke and a sharp, steady burn throughout the long format.

Pairing Suggestion

Being part of the full-bodied "Blue Label" line with notes of pepper, cedar, and leather, this cigar pairs well with a robust drink. A sweet, smoky Bourbon will balance the spice, while a creamy Irish Coffee (with or without alcohol) will complement the creamy cedar and dampen the pepper. A heavy, earthy Malbec is also a strong complementary choice.
