Flavor Profile

This personal blend of the late Carlos Fuente Sr. is a masterclass in balance. It yields a sophisticated profile of sweet cedar, roasted nuts, and light baking spices. A subtle hint of orange peel and vanilla bean adds a luxurious sweetness, while the construction provides a perfect draw. The finish is remarkably clean, leaving a gentle, sweet aroma on the palate.

Construction

This Personal Reserve showcases the pinnacle of Robusto construction. The wrapper is a hand-selected, toothy Cameroon leaf that is applied seamlessly. The construction is dense, providing a slow burn rate that allows the flavors to develop fully. The draw is impeccable, offering just enough resistance to keep the smoke cool. The construction is so precise that the cigar remains stable and firm even as it burns down to the nub, maintaining a clean burn line throughout.

Pairing Suggestion

As a special blend for the Fuente family, this cigar is exceptionally smooth and refined. A premium Añejo Rum or a delicate Cognac matches the cigar's elegance without overwhelming it. For non-alcoholic pairing, a refined Oolong tea or a light roast specialty coffee highlights the citrus and cedar nuances. Pair with light appetizers like shrimp cocktail or a mild brie to maintain the cigar's sophisticated and delicate flavor balance.
